Ten Years of Reading Numbers for People Who Live Between Countries

I spent nearly a decade in corporate accounting and taxation before starting IndoLedger. Corporate work taught me precision. It also taught me how rarely precision reaches the person who actually needs to make a decision.

That gap is why IndoLedger exists.

Most of the people I work with run a business in one country and live in another. A founder in Singapore with an Indonesian entity. A property owner in Bali filing in two systems at once. An accounting firm in Australia that needs reliable hands during peak season. The bookkeeping itself is rarely the hard part. The hard part is that no single set of rules covers their situation, and most advice assumes it does.

My work sits in that overlap. I handle the day-to-day books, the reconciliations, and the reporting, but the point of all of it is the conversation afterward: what these numbers mean, and what to do next.

I work inside your own Xero or QuickBooks account, never a system you cannot take with you. I write here about the questions clients ask me most often, usually the ones with no clean answer in either country’s guidance.

If something in an article applies to your situation and you want to talk it through, I read every message myself.

Most of what I write here started as a client question. If yours is not covered yet, ask it directly.
