IndoLedger is a remote bookkeeping and accounting practice based in Jakarta, Indonesia. We keep the books, reconcile the accounts and prepare the reports for founders and small businesses that would rather spend their time on the business itself.
That includes company owners in Indonesia, expatriates and digital nomads working from Bali and Jakarta, small businesses spread across several countries, and accounting firms outside Indonesia that need bookkeeping capacity without hiring for it. If your finances cross a border, we are built for that.
What we actually do
We work on the recurring work that has to happen every month, not one-off consulting:
- Daily transaction management – every transaction recorded and categorised, not cleared in one rushed week at month end.
- Bank and payment reconciliation – statements matched against your records so the balances you look at are real.
- Monthly financial reports – profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, depending on your package, with a plain-English note on what changed.
- Accounts receivable and payable tracking – so you know who owes you and what you owe, before it becomes a problem.
- Data cleanup and migration – if your books are months behind or the system was set up wrong, we start there. It is a normal place to begin.
- Year-end preparation – the schedules and supporting documents your accountant or auditor will ask for, ready before they ask.
- Accounting support for firms – overflow bookkeeping for CPA and BAS practices that cannot take on another client yet.
How we work
We work inside the systems you already use – QuickBooks Online, Xero, Excel and NetSuite. We do not ask you to move to unfamiliar software, and we do not ask for your online banking passwords. Where a bank feed is needed, you connect it yourself.
Every client gets a named person who handles the work and answers questions. Communication runs over email and messaging, with calls booked at times that suit your timezone, and we work in English.
What it costs
Packages run from USD 150 to USD 800 per month, depending on transaction volume and how much reporting and advisory depth you need. There is a quarterly option at a reduced rate for businesses that do not need a monthly close, and custom scopes for anything unusual.
If you are not satisfied in your first month, tell us within that month and we will not charge for it. We would rather you say so early than quietly leave.
Why clients stay
Most people come to us after being let down by inconsistent reporting – books that were technically filed but never explained, or a previous provider who went quiet for weeks at a time. What they usually say the difference is: they can ask a question and get a direct answer, and the numbers arrive when they are supposed to.
Where we are
Our team is in Jakarta, Indonesia (GMT+7), and we work remotely with clients worldwide. Being based here is the point: the same team that understands Indonesian reporting obligations for a PT PMA also handles the day-to-day bookkeeping. You do not have to coordinate between a local tax agent and an offshore bookkeeper.
Confidentiality
We handle records most businesses keep private. We are willing to sign your non-disclosure agreement before receiving anything, at no cost – ask for it during your first call rather than after you have sent files.
How to start
Book a free 15-minute consultation using the form or WhatsApp link on our contact page. We will look at your current setup, tell you honestly whether we are a good fit, and if we are, agree a scope and a delivery schedule before anything is billed.
