AUTHOR
Founder, IndoLedger
Ten years in accounting and taxation, spent mostly on the part people find hardest: making cross-border numbers make sense to the person who has to act on them.
QuickBooks ProAdvisor — confirm
I spent nearly a decade in corporate accounting and taxation before starting IndoLedger. Corporate work taught me precision. It also taught me how rarely precision reaches the person who actually needs to make a decision.
That gap is why IndoLedger exists.
Most of the people I work with run a business in one country and live in another. A founder in Singapore with an Indonesian entity. A property owner in Bali filing in two systems at once. An accounting firm in Australia that needs reliable hands during peak season. The bookkeeping itself is rarely the hard part. The hard part is that no single set of rules covers their situation, and most advice assumes it does.
My work sits in that overlap. I handle the day-to-day books, the reconciliations, and the reporting, but the point of all of it is the conversation afterward: what these numbers mean, and what to do next.
I work inside your own Xero or QuickBooks account, never a system you cannot take with you. I write here about the questions clients ask me most often, usually the ones with no clean answer in either country’s guidance.
If something in an article applies to your situation and you want to talk it through, I read every message myself.
Working out which country has the claim on your income, and what that means in practice. Most of it comes down to residency, treaty position, and timing.
Monthly and annual filing obligations for foreign-owned entities in Indonesia, including the ones that apply before a company earns its first rupiah.
Setting up Xero or QuickBooks so the reports mean something, and repairing books that have drifted. Migration, reconciliation, and the reporting that follows.
Ongoing tax administration for property owners in Indonesia, including foreign owners navigating local requirements for the first time.
Cross-border tax
Aufa helped me do some deepdive on a specific market taxation system and helped me understand what I should do in my personal situation. It helped guide me to save on my income. As always Aufa is diligent and professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Systems & process
Aufa brings both precision and insight to his work. He helped us streamline our financial processes and introduced effective systems for monitoring transactions and outstanding balances. His ability to quickly adapt to new tools and truly understand our business needs sets him apart from others we’ve worked with.

Local regulation
Aufa has been handling our property tax administration with great skill. He quickly understood our needs and the payment process, making everything run much more smoothly. His knowledge of business and local tax regulations is exceptional.
